My pick this week is the amazing abstract work of Hyunme Lee. Not often is pure abstract art as well balanced as this and I am in awe of this ability. I see all the elements in each work, colour, value, form, line, space, shape and texture and to me, above all Mystery
Hyunme Lee is a Korean-born abstract painting artist. She graduated from the College of Fine Arts at Hon-Ik University in Seoul, and received her MFA from the University of Sydney. Lee consolidated her work as a professional artist and commenced her university teaching career before coming to the U.S. in 1997. She is currently a professor at Utah Valley State College in Orem, Utah, and continues her professional artist career.
Hyunmee Lee's recent show "Intimacy Without Restraint", at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts, is Lee's 14th solo exhibition. Her work has found international acclaim, and has been acquired by collectors and institutions around the world.
